Book 1: Amatheliah’s wedding
Amatheliah was a very beautiful young lady. She was 18, and
everyone wanted to marry her. Then, Prince Casper came up to her one day. He
said, “Amatheliah, you are so pretty.” Amatheliah didn’t say anything so Prince
Casper went on. “You are the most beautiful in all the Kingdom. I have power. I
can give you power. Marry me.” Amatheliah still said nothing. “Be at my palace
ten o’clock tomorrow or you’ll get executed.” The prince strode away. Amatheliah
was sad. She was in love with Peter, the young farmer. But she didn’t want to
be executed! She sat on a rock to think.
Finally, She thought of a plan. “I know.” She thought. “I’ll
go to the palace, with Peter, say I hated Casper, say I love Peter, kiss Peter,
and run off. Plus, I’ll bring horses to ride away on.” So she set to work. She
found Peter in the cornfield, told him the plan, then ran home after he said he’d
come. They’d ride out to the Indians, who Amatheliah was good friends with. She
took two of her horses, and went to sleep. She woke up at 7 in the morning and
saddles and bridled the horses. She met Peter and they rode to the palace. As
they got there, Prince Casper was standing there. He shouted, “Amatheliah! My
new wife-to-be!” but Amatheliah yelled, “I hate you! I love him!” She pointed
to Peter. They kissed and rode off.
Later, Casper set a law that Peter and Amatheliah weren’t allowed
into the kingdom. They were fine with that. The Indians treated them well.
I love this story!! I can't believe you were "little" when you wrote it. Can't wait to read the next 5!!
